Helgi Spencer Olafson
July 18, 2013, Winnipeg (ISN) – Helgi Olafson, an endurance athlete who has Ankylosing Spondylitis, will be featured in the Winnipeg Free Press Healthy Living Section on Monday, July 22, 2013. Come and meet Helgi on Monday evening and hear him talk about his experiences with “Exercise as Medicine” for his Ankylosing Spondylitis.
This event is free of charge.
Location: Classroom B132, Canadian Mennonite University North Campus, 500 Shaftesbury Blvd., Winnipeg R3P 2N2.
Time: 5:30 pm – 7:00 pm, Monday, July 22, 2013.
Light refreshments will be provided but people are encouraged to bring a shareable appetizer.
Please join Helgi in Winnipeg at the first of these gatherings in each city that Helgi visits on his Canada tour of racing and raising awareness for Ankylosing Spondylitis (AS). This is a place for people with AS and arthritis to get to know each other’s stories firsthand. Any interested parties are encouraged to attend. Helgi will also be speaking about his journey and experiences with his particular case of AS. He will be available to answer any questions and would love to shake your hand.
