August 13, 2013, Edmonton, AB (ISN) – Barrhead Blue Heron Fair 2013 included a rodeo sanctioned by the Wildrose Rodeo Association. This rodeo association attracts cowboys around the world.
The international cowboys were from Australia, New Zealand and Mexico and competed in saddle bronc, bareback and bull riding.
While the parents enjoyed watching the rodeo a children’s zone was set up for the youngster to have fun. It included bouncy castles, petting zoo, balloon animals, face painting and a gold mine to dig for gold all free of charge. The miniature railroad group from Edmonton loaded up their trains and set them up for all to enjoy as well. There were many other activities happening over the weekend but these were the ones that I personally witnessed. Congratulation to the organizers for a fantastic weekend of fun that was very affordable for all.
