Chouinard, Slavin top junior figures standings at 2013 UANA Pan American Synchronized Swimming Championships,

August 18, 2013, SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico (ISN) – Anne-Marie Chouinard of Montreal and Erica Slavin of Calgary ranked first and second in Saturday’s junior figure standings to open the 2013 UANA Pan American Synchronized Swimming Championships.

Chouinard earned 73.489 points and Slavin followed at 72.654. Rebecca Moody of the U.S., was third at 72.421.

Other results from Synchro Canada’s 2013 Junior National Team members: Elizabeth Savard of Laval, Que., was sixth, Clare McGovern of Toronto 10th , Kali Wong of Calgary 14th, Wenjing Deng of Whitby, Ont., 15th, Virginie Lévesque of Quebec City 20th, Roxanne Morneau-Carrier of Montreal 22nd, Myriam Sabourin of Montreal 23rd, Dylan Harding of Gormley, Ont., 26th, Olivia Zawadiuk of Calgary 28th and Claire Caskey of Etobicoke, Ont., 30th.

In the 13-15 age group figures, Olivis Ekberg of the U.S., ranked first at 71.887, Halle Pratt of Calgary was second at 71.317 and Daria Torba of the U.S., third at 70.969.

Other results from Synchro Canada’s 2013 13-15 National Team members: Andree-Anne Côté of St-Georges, Que., was fifth, Emily Armstrong of Toronto 12th, Audrey Joly of St-Eustache, Que., 14th, Maria Gheta of Montreal 17th, Joelle Zavitz of Guelph, Ont., 19th, Aerin England of Burlington, Ont., 20th, Natalie MacMillan of Toronto 21st, Meaghan Ozikizler of Toronto 30th and Breanne Bauer of Calgary 38th.

In the 12 and under figures, Paige Hopper of the Calgary Aquabelles ranked first, Eva Blainey of Granite Synchro 14th, Rachel Black of Granite Synchro 16th, Rosalie Dufour of the Quebec provincial team 28th, Anouk Gallant (Quebec provincial team) 32nd, Salome Boissonault (Quebec provincial team) 34th, Isabelle Nolin (Quebec provincial team) 36th, Katherine Gelly (Quebec provincial team) 41st, Shirine Gauvin (Quebec provincial team) 47th, Elizabeth Primeau (Quebec provincial team) 51st, Ariane Pilon (Quebec provincial team) 52nd, Cendrine Lemire (Quebec provincial team) 54th and Olivia Caci (Quebec provincial team) 56th.

Competition continues Sunday with the solo and team preliminaries in all age groups.
