August 19, 2013, Victoria, BC (ISN) – Victoria’s super master’s squash player, Gerry Poulton wins the over 70 Division at The World Masters Games in Torino, Italy.

Last weekend Gerry (retired UVIC Chemistry Professor) added the world title to his already impressive list of accomplishments over the past year. It started in March when he won the US Open in the 70+ division, followed by The Canadian Open in May and now the World masters last weekend. In the World Masters Games, Gerry defeated players from Australia, South Africa, England and USA.

Gerry is a great inspiration to all the squash players in Victoria as he works very hard at improving his conditioning by regularly doing palates and spinning classes. He also works hard on court at The Victoria Squash Club with coach Stuart Dixon and mentor John Lubinich.
