August 22, 2013, Dauphin, MB (ISN) – A capacity crowd of 850 spectators at the Dauphin Regional Secondary School helped cheer on Canada to a second win in as many nights against Peru. The scores for the straight sets win this evening were 25-15, 25-21, 25-17.
It was a perfect homecoming for Dauphin native Tabi Love who led Canada with 10 points (8 kills, 2 aces). Lisa Barclay (Brandon, MB) also contributed 10 points from 8 kills, 2 blocks, while Lucy Charuk contributed 6 points (2 blocks and 3 kills and 1 ace) in the third set alone.
“We improved tonight compared to yesterday”, stated Head Coach Arnd Ludwig. “We stayed more focused during the match and we were always pressing and controlling the play. We seemed to have an answer for everything Peru could throw our way. I was also impressed with Jennifer Lundquist and thought she played a great game tonight running the offence.”
