Saanich Braves Fans to be treated to 46th Anniversary Home Opening Celebration

September 4, 2013, Victoria, BC – The puck is set to drop on the 46th season of Saanich Braves Junior B hockey this Friday, Sep. 6 as the Braves take on the Westshore Wolves at Pearkes Arena. Game time is set for 6:30 p.m.

“We are looking forward to a packed house this Friday,” Norm Kelly, Braves Owner/GM said. “Braves fans are in for an exciting season both on and off the ice.”

Before game festivities include Cops for Cancer rider Kevin Nunn riding a stationary bike with his Junior Riders and a pre-game BBQ hosted by M&M Meats and The Village Restaurant starting at 5:30 p.m. in the Pearkes parking lot.

The on-ice festivities prior to the Game will feature introductions of the 2013/14 Saanich Braves and the ceremonial puck drop by Kevin Nunn and his Junior Riders.

Friday night’s tickets are sponsored by Fish Hair Salon and stylists will be on hand doing coloured hair extensions for fans and hosting a give-away draw for hair-cuts.

Once again, Saanich Jr. B Braves and Island Sports News photographer Christian J. Stewart will be on hand taking incredible action shots during select Braves 2013/14 home games. Christian’s photos are available for purchase at .

Braves’ fans next chance to catch their team in action at home is Friday, Sep. 13th, when the Victoria Cougars visit Pearkes Arena.

Fans can get in on the 46th season action by purchasing season tickets, available for $129 for all 24 home games. Season tickets will be available at the home opener and every Braves home game or by calling 250 -590-3666.
