Manhattanville College’s Aaron Enns Commits to SFU for 2013/14

September 6, 2013 — Burnaby, B.C. — The Simon Fraser University Men’s Ice Hockey team is pleased to announce that former La Ronge Ice Wolf and Manhattanville College Valiant forward Aaron Enns has committed to join the team for the 2013/14 season.

From Campbell River, BC, Enns spent three seasons with the La Ronge Ice Wolves (SJHL) where he tallied 96 points in 154 games. Aaron won back-to-back SJHL championships in La Ronge with SFU teammates Taylor Piller and Graham Smerek. He then moved on to play one year with Manhattanville College, an NCAA Division III team located in New York.

“I’m very excited to represent the Simon Fraser University Men’s Hockey program and compete against other great university programs,” says Enns. “I like to think I play a simple, hard-working game, maintaining a strong defensive awareness while having a persistent physical presence allowing an offensive threat in the dirty areas.”

“Aaron is a big power forward that can score and move up and down the ice,” says SFU Head Coach Mark Coletta. “Getting bigger up front and having guys that will get dirty is what we need, and Aaron brings all of that.”

Manhattanville Head Coach Arlen Marshall also adds, “Aaron comes with high character, and will bring a strong work ethic on the ice and in the classroom.”

Aaron Enns Quick Stats:
