Cougars Acquire Defenceman From Calgary

September 11, 2013, Prince George, B.C. – The Prince George Cougars have acquired 20-year-old defenceman Peter Kosterman (Calgary, AB) from the Calgary Hitmen in exchange for a fourth round draft pick in 2014, and a sixth round draft pick in 2015.

Kosterman (6’4″, 200 pounds and a left-handed shot) has spent his entire Western Hockey League career with the Calgary Hitmen. In 234 games, he has recorded five goals, 32 points and 166 penalty minutes. In 27 career playoff games, Kosterman has scored two goals, six points and added 16 penalty minutes. He was originally selected by the Calgary Hitmen in the first round (19th overall) in the 2008 WHL Bantam Draft.

In 2011, Peter Kosterman was invited to attend Calgary Flames training camp as a free agent invite.
