Tigers Acquire Goaltender From Moose Jaw

September 17, 2013, Medicine Hat, AB (ISN) – Medicine Hat Tigers announce this afternoon they have acquired 18-year-old goaltender Daniel Wapple from the Moose Jaw Warriors.

In return, the Warriors will receive a 4th round pick in the 2015 WHL Bantam Draft as well as a conditional pick in 2016.

“We are very excited to add Daniel to our roster,” stated Tigers’ general manager/head coach Shaun Clouston. “He is a talented young goalie with an impressive resume with a year of WHL experience.”

Daniel played in the Canada Winter Games for Team Saskatchewan as a 15-year-old. The following year he was selected to the first all-star team in the Saskatchewan Midget Hockey League where he posted the league best save percentage at .929. Last season, Daniel appeared in 20 games for the Moose Jaw Warriors posting a 3.61 goals against average and .886 save percentage.
