Saturday, September 21, 2013 at Kelowna Rockets– 5-2 Loss

Tyson Baillie had a big night for the Rockets with four points including the empty net goal as the Blazer suffered a 5-2 loss. Joe Kornelsen and Mitch Lipon had the goals for the Blazers, while Bolton Pouliot made 37 saves taking the loss in goal.  Click here for Highlights and Recap.  

Needham Named Team Captain

The Kamloops Blazers named 18-year-old Matt Needham captain this past week. Needham becomes the youngest Blazers captain since Ajay Baines was named team captain back in the 1996-97 season. To read more, follow this link.

Ness Acquired from Rebels

Tyson Ness was acquired from the Red Deer Rebels last week in exchange for a 3rd round WHL Bantam Draft Pick in 2014. Ness had 19 goals and 39 points last season and rounds out the 20-year-old situation joining Joe Kornelsen and Sam Grist. For more, follow this link.

Kryski off to Hot Start in BCMML

Jake Kryski is off to a hot start in the B.C. Major Midget League with the Okanagan Rockets. The 15-year-old, who was acquired from Prince Albert in exchange for 20-year-old goaltender Cole Cheveldave, had four points in the season opener to lead the Rockets to a 10-3 win. Kryski was the 13th overall pick in the 2013 WHL Bantam Draft.

October is Kids’ Month!

The month of October is Kids’ Month. Buy a regular priced Adult or Senior ticket and receive a FREE Child ticket (Ages 4-12) for the same game.
