Cariboo Cougars Set to Open Season

September 27, 2013, Prince George, BC – The Cariboo Cougars are set to open the regular season this weekend. The Cats take on the Greater Vancouver Canadians at 11:45 a.m. Saturday morning in Richmond. Then Sunday morning at 8:30 a.m. also in Richmond.

The 2013/14 edition of the Cougars returns six players from last year. Goalie Jeremy Matte, Defencemen Bryan Allbee, Scott Cullen, and Jordan Low along with forwards Donovan Law and Riley Pettitt.


The Cats will face a Greater Vancouver Canadian team that swept their opening series with the South Island Royals. Scores were 5-3 and 7-5.

Next weekend will be the first home weekend for the Cariboo Cougars when the Fraser Valley Thunderbirds come to Prince George.
