October 1, 2013, EDMONTON – The 2013-14 Canada West preseason women’s hockey coaches’ poll saw the defending conference champion UBC Thunderbirds tied with the Alberta Pandas.

2013-14 MEDIA RELEASE Canada West Universities Athletic Association Canada West women’s hockey: T-Birds, Pandas tied in preseason coaches’ poll EDMONTON – The 2013-14 Canada West preseason women’s hockey coaches’ poll saw the defending conference champion UBC Thunderbirds tied with the Alberta Pandas. Each team received four first-place votes and three second-place votes for 64 points, with Manitoba rounding out the top three. Here are the complete voting results, based on a 10-8-6-4-3-2-1 system (first-place votes in parentheses):
