As a part of the AFL’s second highest scoring offense, Shock Head Coach Andy Olson recognized Kamar’s ability to contribute on the field alongside 2013 AFL Receiver of the Year Adron Tennell. “Kamar was a tremendous athlete on the field for us this year. He is capable of being very successful at the next level and we wish him nothing but the best.”
Prior to arriving in Spokane Jorden spent time with the NFL’s Minnesota Vikings as an undrafted free agent and during his time with the Shock, Kamar received invitations to participate in workouts with other NFL franchises. During his collegiate career as a Falcon, Jorden First-Team All-Mid Atlantic Conference honors in 2011 as he started 12 games his senior season on his way to recording 78 receptions for 1,089 yards and 12 touchdowns.
The Shock continue to strive to provide their players with the best opportunity possible to achieve their personal goals and have poised themselves as one of the top destinations for players in the AFL seeking the chance to take their talents to the next level.
“Getting our players to the CFL and NFL is something we’re very passionate about. We do everything we can to make those dreams a reality for our players and Kamar has certainly earned it. He had a terrific rookie season and he’s only scratched the surface of his potential,” said Shock General Manager Ryan Rigmaiden.
