Marie by bringing our participants a memorable experience in Windsor in 2016” said Reuben Greenspoon, Coordinator, CARHA Hockey World Cup. “The City of Windsor has some world class facilities and amenities which will make for a great event in 2016. Another big factor in Windsor’s winning bid was their great hockey community that we know will embrace and celebrate our participants.”
Windsor has a rich hockey history and was selected from 37 communities that had demonstrated interest across Canada as the 2016 Host City after an extensive and competitive bid process. The City of Windsor has world class accommodations and hockey facilities that will be utilized throughout the seven days of the event. Participants from around the world will fill more than 800 hotel rooms per night and will play more than 250 games in the community throughout the week. In addition, local restaurants, pubs, shops and malls can expect positive spinoff with an influx of out of town traffic during the event!
