Canadian Junior Hockey League’s three stars for September


October 9, 2013, CALGARY Alberta (ISN) – Fort McMurray Oil Barons (AJHL) goaltender Tanner Jaillet, Prince George Spruce Kings (BCHL) forward Jake LeBrun and Saint-Jérôme Panthères (LHJAAAQ) forward Charles Guèvremont have been named the CJHL 3 Stars for the month of September 2013.

1st STAR – TANNER JAILLET, G, Fort McMurray Oil Barons, AJHL (7GP, 7W, 0L, 1.42GAA, .948SV%)

Goaltender Tanner Jaillet and the Fort McMurray Oil Barons went undefeated through the month of September 2013. Jaillet recorded 7 consecutive wins among the team’s 10 game winning streak. The CJHL Top 20 Weekly Rankings have held the Oil Barons at #1 for the opening month of the 2013-2014 season. The 20 year-old goaltender from Red Deer, Alberta leads the AJHL with a stingy 1.42 GAA and has allowed just 10 goals on 193 shots. Jaillet also picked up a shutout win, two Player of the Game selections, and was recognized as an AJHL Player of the Week in September.

2nd STAR – CHARLES GUEVREMON, F, Saint-Jérôme Panthères, LHJAAAQ (9GP, 13G, 12A, 25PTS, 2.78PPG)

After the first month of action in the QJAAAHL, Charles Guèvremont of the Saint-Jérôme Panthères led the Canadian Junior Hockey League in scoring with 13 goals, 12 assists and 25 points in 9 games. The 18-year-old center from Châteauguay, QC recorded 8 multi-point games, 1 hat trick, 6 power-play goals and posted a differential of +9.

3rd STAR – JAKE LeBRUN, F, Prince George Spruce Kings, BCHL (8GP, 8G, 8A, 16PTS, 2.00PPG)

Jake LeBrun of the Prince George Spruce Kings notched 8 goals and 4 assists in 8 games throughout September and also recorded 3 game-winning goals. LeBrun’s efforts helped his hometown Spruce Kings to conclude the month with a three-game win streak. The 18 year-old scored his first BCHL hat trick and was four times a Game Star in September. LeBrun has already surpassed his goal total from all of last season.
