Blades acquire Cory Millette from Red Deer

October 10, 2013, SASKATOON, SK (ISN) – The Saskatoon Blades are pleased to announce that they have acquired forward Cory Millette from the Red Deer Rebels. In exchange for the 1995-born left-winger, the Blades have dealt 1996-born forward Evan Polei to the Rebels.

Millette is currently in his third full season in the WHL, having played two games with the Rebels so far in 2013-14. Millette has appeared in 106 career WHL games, all with the Rebels, posting 19 goals and 21 assists for 40 points to go along with 48 PIMs.

The 5’11, 188 pound forward is from Storthoaks, Saskatchewan and was originally selected by the Rebels in the second round, 34th overall, in the 2010 WHL Bantam Draft. He played his midget hockey with the Notre Dame Hounds and also played in the 2012 World Under-17 Hockey Championships, posting 4 points in 5 games.

New addition will wear #11 with the Saskatoon Blades.
