October 12, 2013, VANCOUVER (ISN) – The Cariboo Cougars couldn’t get their offence going early on as they opened their weekend road trip on Saturday evening, dropping a 4-2 decision to the Vancouver NE Chiefs in BC Major Midget Hockey League action in Coquitlam.

The Cougars trailed 4-0 after 40 minutes, before Chase Dubois and Greg Dakus cut the lead in half with third period goals – but that’s where Cariboo’s comeback stalled.

Jordan Henderson, Caleb Fantillo, Lucien Serban and Ziyan Karim scored for the Chiefs.

The loss is the second straight for the Cougars and drops the team to 3-2-0 on the year. The Chiefs improve to 4-1-2 on the season.

The two teams meet again on Sunday at 11:45 a.m. to complete the Thanksgiving weekend series.
