October 12, 2013, Victoria, BC (ISN) – Logan Nelson tallied his 5th goal of the season with just over a minute to play in the 3rd period to give the Victoria Royals 4-3 win and the two game series sweep of the Lethbridge Hurricanes in WHL action at Save On Foods Memorial Centre on Saturday night.

The story of the game though was the outstanding play of Hurricanes netminder Corbin Boes. The Royals peppered 49 (17-21-11) shots at Boes and he stood tall and kept his team in the game till the final minute.

The Hurricanes answered back at 6:43 when Ryan Pilon gathered a puck in the slot and beat a screened Patrick Polivka over the blocker. Despite the majority of play taking place inside the Lethbridge blue line the teams went into the 1st break tied 1-1.
