October 12, 2013, NORTH SAANICH, B.C (ISN) – Tate Coughlin scored at the 58 second mark of second overtime to lift the Peninsula Panthers to a 4-3 come-from-behind victory over Victoria Friday night.

Despite the loss, the Cougars currently hold a nine point lead over second place Peninsula in the South Island Division.

Victoria roared out to a 3-0 lead on a pair of goals from Michael Fretz and Ryan Carson.

But power play goals within a twenty second span by Jackson Skerratt and Sean Buchanan late in the middle frame cut the Cougars lead to one.

Getting badly outshot, Cole Glover managed to score the only goal of the third period to set up extra time.

Stephen Heslop made 45 saves for his fourth victory of the season. Connor Beauchamp turned away 36 shots in a losing cause.

There were a couple of fights. Jordan Marciniak tangled with Evan Meek while Mark Walton squared off with the much taller Kyle Richardson.
