October 13, 2013, Delta (ISN) – Marcus Davis stole the show on a sunny afternoon in South Delta scoring 6 first half touchdowns as the Rams built up a 48 to 20 halftime lead en route to a 55 to 20 victory over the Sun Devils.

Marcus was quite simply spectacular. Amazingly, Marcus only touched the ball 11 times in the entire contest and scored in every way possible. He scored on runs of 66, 15 and 24 yards, hauled in TD passes of 38 and 40 yards from the arm of Ashton MacKinnon, intercepted a South Delta pass and returned it 48 yards for a pic six and returned a kickoff 70 yards for a major. On the day, Marcus scored 7 touchdowns and was the most dominant a half of football I have ever witnessed by a high school football player. Julian Luis scored the other Rams touchdown while Callum Duke connected on 7 of 8 converts.

The Rams offense was also highlighted by a perfect day from Ashton MacKinnon who went 8 for 8 in passing for 173 yards and 2 TD strikes. The entire Rams Offensive Line play was stellar giving Ashton time to throw and the Mount Douglas backfield incredible running lanes. Marcus rushed 5 times for 127 yards to lead the Rams ground attack. Seye Farinu had his best game of the season with 7 carries for 73 yards and made a spectacular catch as well. Marcus and Alexis Keppenne recorded 3 receptions each for 83 and 53 yards, respectively.

On the defensive side of the ball for Mount Douglas, Julian Luis led the Rams defense with 4 tackles and an interception. Seye Farinu and Sean Waugh tied for 2nd with 3 tackles each, followed by Marcus Davis, Pato Vega and Zach Wilkinson. In addition to picks by Marcus and Julian, Zach Wilkinson also had an interception from his Defensive End position giving the Rams 3 picks for the day. James Nicholas, Christian Krause and Pato all recorded sacks for the Rams.
