October 16, 2013, Edmonton, AB (ISN) – The Edmonton Oil Kings are issuing a late Thanksgiving offering to their fans with tickets to the Tuesday October 15th game against the Prince Albert Raiders. The game experienced an hour and forty-five minute delay due to a power outage in the area.

The team announced that any fan with a ticket to that game can redeem it for any future Oil Kings home game in October or November.

“We’d like to thank our fans for their patience throughout the power outage Tuesday night, especially for the great many of them who stayed for the completion of the game after it restarted,” said Oil Kings vice-president Darryl Porter. “They proved once again that, without a doubt, Edmonton has the best fans in the WHL.

“We understand not everyone could stay, especially families with kids, and we want to ensure those customers still get the great fan experience they expect from the Edmonton Oil Kings.”

Fans can redeem their tickets by visiting the Oil Kings Ticket Office located at TELUS Field during regular business hours Monday through Friday (8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.) or by calling 780-414-GOAL (4625).

Fans can exchange their tickets for the following games:

  • Sunday, October 20th vs. Kootenay Ice @ 4:00 p.m.
