TWU Spartans volleyball teams both No. 2 in Canada West

October 21, 2013, LANGLEY, British Columbia (ISN) – Both the Trinity Western men’s and women’s volleyball teams are ranked No. 2 in the Canada West preseason coaches’ poll, which was released Monday.

Both TWU teams picked up one first place vote, with the women earning second overall convincingly, sitting 23 points clear of third ranked Manitoba, and the men just edging third ranked Brandon by one point.

The Alberta Golden Bears were the runaway leader on the men’s side, while the six-time defending CIS women’s volleyball champion UBC Thunderbirds garnered top spot conference-wide on the women’s side.
