October 22, 2013, Victoria B.C. (ISN) – The Victoria Cougars are proud to announce that Lindsay Hodgins, 2013 World Girls Horseshoe Champion, will be on hand October 24 to drop the ceremonial game puck.

Game time at the Archie Browning Sports Centre, located at 1151 Esquimalt Road, is 7:00 p.m.

Ms. Hodgins, 16, won the girls championship at the World Horseshoe Tournament in St. George, Utah this past summer.

On the final day of the championship, Ms. Hodgins went unbeaten to become the first pitcher from this province to win the honour.

Ms. Hodgins will be in the Crow’s Nest during the first intermission for a meet and greet. This is a great chance to rub shoulders with Ms. Hodgins, get a first-hand look at her trophy, ask questions, take pictures, and get an autograph.

Game tickets are available at the door and can be purchase as early as one hour prior to the drop of the puck.
