October 27, 2013, CHASE (ISN) – Colton Thomas scored twice on Sunday as the Cariboo Cougars completed a weekend sweep of the Thompson Blazers with a 5-1 win in Chase.

Steven Jandric, Greg Dakus and Cole Morris also scored for the Cougars, as the Cats improved it’s record to 5-5-0 in the B.C. Major Midget League. Jeremy Matte got the win in net for the Cougars.

The four-goal margin of victory was the largest of the season for the Cougars, as their first four wins came by just a goal each. Sunday’s victory came on the heels of a 3-2 win Saturday against the Blazers.

The Cougars will be back on home ice this coming Saturday when they welcome the Kootenay Ice to the CN Centre at 1:15 p.m. Sunday’s game will be at 10:15 at CN Centre.
