October 30, 2103 (ISN) – The Warriors are pleased to announce defenseman #8 Adam Plant (Penticton, BC) has made the final cut of the Team Canada West roster for this year’s World Junior A Challenge.

The tournament takes place in Yarmouth, NS from November 4th-10th, 2013.

Adam, will be part of a history of Warriors who played for Team Canada West including: Grayson Downing, and Seb LLoyd.

David Pope, Ambrose Firkus, and Seb Lloyd unfortunately didn’t make the cut, but the Warriors are still very proud to have sent 4 players to the selection camp.

“It’s a great honor to wear our maple leaf in international play” added Plant. “I’m looking forward to the next two weeks, and hopefully I can use this experience to better myself as a hockey player.”

Adam will stay in Calgary with the rest of Team Canada West, before heading to Yarmouth later this week.

While Pope, Firkus, and Lloyd will return for the next Warriors Home Game on Saturday, November 2nd vs Trail at 7pm.

The Warriors organization wishes Adam and Team Canada West the best of luck in the tournament.
