November 2, 2013, Victoria (ISN) – Congratulations to the Varsity Rams on their big win over Belmont on Senior Day, with a 69-6 win.

On a night when the senior players from both teams were recognized, it was the Rams’ big guns that stole the show in a 69 to 6 victory over Belmont. Marcus Davis had an incredible 425 all-purpose yards and 6 touchdowns, while QB Ashton MacKinnon went 8 for 11 for 230 yards and 4 TD strikes plus a rushing major of his own. The Rams Offensive and Defensive Lines dominated in the trenches.

This was a special night for our graduating players and they all played brilliantly. Having said that, there are still areas we need to improve upon as we head into playoffs, but overall our coaching staff were extremely pleased with all the players’ effort and intensity Friday.

On the defensive side of the ball, the stingy Rams defense yielded only 1 score after a long kickoff return set up a late TD run by Belmont. D-Linemen Zack Wilkinson had a monster game recording 8 tackles plus a fumble recovery while fellow D-Lineman James Nicholas had 7 tackles and 1 QB sack. DE Byron MacKinnon had 4 tackles plus a sack. LB Seye Farinu registered 6 tackles and LB Sheldon Mack had 4 tackles plus 2 sacks. Defensive Back Marcus Davis had 4 tackles, while Sean Waugh had 3 tackles plus an interception. JV Manny Lopez played a strong game on special teams recording 3 tackles.
