November 7, 2013, Prince Albert SK (ISN) – Many members of the Prince Albert Raiders will be putting away their razors for the month of November and growing mustache’s as in an effort to raise money for prostate cancer research.
The growing campaign known as Movember has become a Canadian Hockey League-wide initiative, with teams across the country as well as league officials and staff participating.
Fans who want to donate to the team, or their favourite player, can visit the team page at moteam.co/prince-albert-raiders. The club will also have a donation box at the volunteer station during all home games, as well as their office on non-game days.
The Raiders have teamed up with Farm World to cap off the month-long campaign with a special prostate cancer themed jersey night. The team will wear a unique uniform, featuring the prostate cancer official colours along with the original Raider man logo sporting a mustache and the prostate cancer tie.
Special prostate cancer jerseys the Raiders will wear on November 23rd in partnership with Farm World.
The jerseys will be worn during the final home game of the month, on November 23rd, against the Lethbridge Hurricanes. They will be auctioned off on the ice following the game, with proceeds going to the Canadian Cancer Society.
