November 14, 2013 (ISN) – With just a few days to go, the International Rugby Board is delighted to announce that delegate passes and exhibition space for the inaugural IRB World Rugby Conference and Exhibition have sold-out.
As part of the IRB’s ongoing commitment to developing Rugby around the world, more than 600 delegates from the Rugby family and international sporting community will attend the IRB World Rugby Conference and Exhibition, which will see some of the world’s leading decision-makers from Rugby, the Olympic Movement and world sport debate some of the most pressing issues in the Game.
The two-day event will include a range of activities to complement the conference that will feature a host of high-profile names from Rugby and international sport. These include the star-studded IRB Hall of Fame induction ceremony taking place at the Aviva Stadium on Monday November 18, as well as a special breakfast session with Lord Sebastian Coe for delegates and media on Tuesday, November 19.
An array of Rugby stars – past and present – will participate at the inaugural event including Richie McCaw, George Gregan, Mark Ella, Keith Wood and Gavin Hastings.
Taking place alongside the IRB General Assembly and IRB Medical Commission Conference, the forum will also feature a host of panel sessions and workshops. Topics that will be discussed include: Optimising Olympic Participation, Developing a Performance Culture, Growing Participation, Anti-Doping and Utilising Social Media.
Alongside the many high-level representatives speaking at the event, a range of companies will showcase themselves, including leading organising committees, Member Unions, brands and stakeholders involved with Rugby.
IRB Chief Executive Brett Gosper said: “With some of the leading names from the world of Rugby and international sport already confirmed to attend, I am delighted that delegate passes and the exhibition for the inaugural IRBWRCE have officially sold out.”
“With the Women’s Rugby World Cup 2014, Rugby World Cup 2015 and the Rio 2016 Olympic and Paralympic Games on the horizon, this is an exciting period of growth for the game of Rugby, and it’s great to see the commercial interest that it has received in its very first year.”
