  • The 2014 WCL All-‐Star Game, hosted at Royal Athletic Park in 2013 with a league-‐record 4,210 in attendance, will be played on Monday, July 21 at Klamath Falls, Oregon, home of the Gems
  • There are 12 days off as the 54 games are played over a 66-‐day span – running June 6, through August 10, with playoffs to follow
  • Tentative exhibition series slated for league bye weekend of June 20, details to be announced in the New Year
  • Under the new playoff format, each of the three divisional winners (West, East, South) advance, as does one ‘wild card’ team, with the best overall record of the non-‐division winners

“It is a well-‐balanced schedule that gives us a great chance to make a strong run in the second half, and do it in front of big weekend crowds,” said HarbourCats President John McLean.
“Completing the league schedule is an extensive process, working with our other 11 partners in the league, and we think we are well-‐positioned to take advantage of our unique location and have a
tremendous home-‐field edge with great fans and support in Victoria.

“We wanted to be playing at home for Canada Day, we wanted home weekend dates particularly when the weather is best in Victoria. With the new alignment in the WCL, we will have all the South Division teams, those based in Oregon, visiting Royal Athletic Park this season, and we’re excited about that. We also get to keep building on our geographic rivalries with Bellingham, Kitsap and Cowlitz, with half our games against those key divisional opponents. On top of that, it’s a nice touch by the WCL that the two Canadian teams meet to start the season in Kelowna.”

Season tickets are on sale now, and are highly recommended for those who want to secure their favourite seat for every HarbourCats home game. The popular 10-‐game flex packs and mini-‐plans are also available. To secure the best seats, visit harbourcats.com. “Fans have been asking about the schedule, and about tickets – they can’t wait for the season to start and to see the qualit team that will be focused on winning the West Coast League championship,” said McLean. “Tickets and team merchandise are very popular items this time of year, because they make great Christmas gifts. The HarbourCats brand has become very popular in Victoria, something we are very pleased with.”
