Travelodge Canada launches Fan Faceoff contest


November 19, 2013, Toronto, ON (ISN) – Travelodge Canada is excited to announce the launch Travelodge Fan Faceoff contest on November 18th. The Travelodge Fan Faceoff is an eight week round-robin style Facebook contest that pits rival fans against each other in order to crown the best fans in the Western and Ontario Hockey leagues of the CHL.

Fans entering the contest have an opportunity to win one of two grand prize trips for four people to the MasterCard Memorial Cup in May plus weekly prizes and a special fan celebration party for the winning fans teams in each league at the opening of the 2014/15 season. “The Travelodge Fan Faceoff was a tremendous success last season,” commented David Branch, CHL President and OHL Commissioner. “We are very excited to once again partner with Travelodge to bring this exciting campaign to fans of the Ontario and Western Hockey Leagues, and provide them a fun and unique platform to support their favorite OHL and WHL team.”

In 2013, fans of the two leagues tallied over 68,000 votes in an effort to cheer their teams to victory in the Travelodge Fan Faceoff. This year, the round robin contest has been modified to focus more on the intense rivalries within the divisions of each league. There is also a new wild card element added to the program which is sure to make the playoff rounds of the contest even more exciting for the fans.
