Tendler Named Men’s Hockey Assistant Coach

November 20, 2013, ASTON, Pa. (ISN) – Matt Tendler has been named the assistant men’s ice hockey coach, effective immediately.

Tendler, former goaltender for the Neumann University men’s hockey team, appeared in a total of 35 games over his four-year career with the Knights and holds a record of 19-8-2, a goals-against average of 2.75 and a save percentage of .895. He was a member of the 2009 Division III National Championship team.

Earlier this year, Tendler was one of 42 players on the Hershey Bears training camp rosters.

The Hershey Bears are the American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate to the Washington Capitals. Tendler was one of the goalies selected to start in the Washington Capitals Alumni Game on September 19.
