November 28, 2013, Prince George, BC (ISN) – The Annual Cougars Christmas Campaign kicks off tomorrow, Friday, November 29 and runs through Wednesday, December 11. The Cougars are proud to once again partner with the local non-profit organizations to make it easy for fans to support our comminuty this holiday season.

This weekend’s games feature a wide variety of activities, making sure there is something for everyone! And if you are looking for a fun, entertaining, exciting and affordable social event for your company or group during the Christmas Season, the Cougars can offer you a complete night out on the town. Our discounted group ticket rates provide you with some of the best entertainment available in the city at the most affordable prices. Adults – $16, Students/Seniors – $10, Child (12 & under) – $6 (Taxes included!)

 Friday November 29 (vs Vancouver), 7:00 pm. Friday’s game is in support of the Prince George Council of Seniors Christmas Hampers. Fans are encouraged to bring non-perishable food items, small personal gifts, gift certificates etc. to donate to this very worthy initiative. To view the 2013 Wish List please click here. “Saputo”, one of Canada’s favourite cheese manufacturers, is the official game sponsor and will be providing in-stand and on-ice contest gifts. The Cougars also will be welcoming the College Heights Flames to the ice for a brief expo scrimmage during the 1st intermission of the game.
 
Saturday, November 30 (vs Vancouver), 7:00 pm. Saturday’s game is in support of the Salvation Army Toy Drive. Fans are welcome to bring new, unwrapped toys, age-appropriate for children. Pre-game, we will be announcing the winner of the Hubbell Designer Goldsmiths Player of the Month Award for November, and the 2nd intermission will feature one of our favourite fan activities, “Chuck a Puck”, with prizes from several great Prince George restaurants. Saturday also marks the end of our Movember 2013 campaign, raising funds for men’s health. The Cougars Assistant Coach Jason Becker has put forth a challenge to all Cougars supporters that if the Cougars reach the $2500 mark for donations by the end of Saturday’s home game, he will shave his head on Monday afternoon (1:00 PM) at Tommy Gun’s in Prince George. Our Christmas Campaign Games Continue Next Week:

Friday, December 6. (vs Tri-City) The Yellowhead Rotary Club of Prince George is gathering food for the Salvation Army Food Bank. Please bring non-perishable food items to support families in our community. This game is also our “Pink in the Rink Night” which features the drawing of the winner of the trip to Mexico contest sponsored by Save-On-Foods. In addition to the contest give-away, this game will feature another ‘first’ for the Prince George Cougars. In order to raise awareness for breast cancer research, the Prince George Cougars will be wearing pink jerseys which will then be auctioned off online with proceeds going to the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation.

The jersey auction has been generously sponsored by Northland Dodge of Prince George. The Cougars and the CBCF thank Northland Dodge for their incredible generosity in supporting this memorable initiative.
 
Saturday December 7. (vs Tri-City) Our annual Teddy Bear and Toque Toss. When the Cats score their first goal , fans can toss their stuffed animals and toques on the ice. The bears and toques will benefit the RCMP Victim Services Unit, the Salvation Army and other organizations in need over the holiday season.
 
Tuesday December 10. (vs Kootenay) In support of the Canadian Mental Health Association Gift of Hope. Please bring hats, scarves and mitts which will be collected by the CMHA for their clients.

Wednesday December 11. From 6-7pm come to the CN Centre for the and join us on ice for the Cougars Annual Family Skate. Popcorn and hot chocolate will be provided. It’s a great opportunity for fans to interact with their favourite players on the ice.
 
All donations will be collected in Section “X” on the concourse level on game nights. And don’t forget to enter to win a trip to Mexico!
