December 27, 2013, Kamloops, BC (ISN) – The Kamloops Blazers have added 17-year-old forward Mitch Friesen to the roster. Friesen is expected to play for the Blazers tonight as they head to Kelowna to start the post-Christmas schedule against the Rockets.

Friesen started the season with the Blazers suiting up for nine games and recording on assist. He was re-assigned to the Kamloops Storm of the KIJHL and has six goals and 14 points in 18 games this season with the Storm.

Friesen is expected to be with the Blazers for the next few weeks as 16-year-old Nick Chyzowski is competing for Team Pacific at the World U-17 Hockey Challenge in Nova Scotia.
