December 31, 2013, Portland (ISN) – The Portland Winterhawks have announced that tonight’s Toyota New Year’s Eve game presented by Pacific Residential Mortgage is sold out.
Nearly 11,000 fans will be packed into the Moda Center tonight for Portland’s biggest New Year’s Eve party as the Winterhawks host the Kelowna Rockets in a matchup between the league’s top two teams.
The annual New Year’s Eve game is always one of the most anticipated of the season, with fans able to come down to the ice after the game to skate with the Winterhawks’ players, then take part in a countdown to midnight.
While tonight’s game is sold out, tickets still remain for Thursday’s game between the two teams at Veterans Memorial Coliseum, and the game Saturday against the Victoria Royals at the Coliseum.
