Rockets Olsen signs NHL deal with Winnipeg

December 31, 2013, Kelowna (ISN) – The Winnipeg Jets announced on Tuesday they have agreed to terms with Kelowna Rockets forward Ryan Olsen on a three-year, two-way, entry level contract.

Olsen, 19, has played in 34 games with the Rockets so far this season. In that time, the right-handed centre has recorded 34 points (17G, 17A) and 36 penalty minutes.

The Delta, BC native has played in 238 career WHL games, between Saskatoon and Kelowna, for 136 career points (71G, 65A) and 228 career penalty minutes.

The 6-foot-2, 194 pound forward was originally drafted by the Winnipeg Jets in the sixth round, 160th overall, in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft.
