Cougars acquire defenceman Wil Tomchuk from Tri City Americans

January 8, 2014, Prince George, B.C. (ISN) – The Prince George Cougars have acquired 1994-born defenceman Wil Tomchuk (Fort McMurray, AB) from the Tri-City Americans in exchange for a conditional fourth round WHL Bantam Draft pick.

Tomchuk stands 6’2″, weighs 185 pounds and has recorded one assist, 17 penalty minutes and a +4 rating in 25 games this season with the Americans. Tomchuk has dressed in 90 career games in the WHL (all with Tri-City) and has one goal, four points and 61 penalty minutes in that span.

Tomchuk will join the Cougars in time for their weekend road games in Vancouver (Friday, January 10th) and Kamloops (Saturday, January 11th).
