Winterhawks trade rights to Adam Tambellini to Calgary

January 8, 2014, Portland (ISN) – The Portland Winterhawks have traded the rights to Adam Tambellini to the Calgary Hitmen in exchange for conditional draft picks.

Tambellini, who was on the team’s protected list, began the season with the University of North Dakota. In 16 games he had two goals and two assists for four points. Tambellini was a third round pick, 65th overall, by the New York Rangers in the 2013 NHL Draft.
