Glacier Kings fall short of their goal

January 12, 2014, Parksville (ISN) – Just when the Glacier Kings had the opportunity to catch up to the Campbell River Storm for the race for top spot in the north division of the VIJHL they fell short of their goal as seen with Kings Newcomer Eric Margo, upright and Ali Gotmy, prone, losing to last place Oceanside Generals 3-1 after leading 1-0 with less than 4 min in the game.

Brodie Smith tied the Kings 1-1, at 16:17 the Generals came to life buzzing the Kings net as Wyatt Petryschen found the twine less than a minute later at 16:58 with Brody Smith scoring an empty netter at the 19:55 mark.

Player of the game: Generals Goalie Liam Giroux with 29 saves followed by Generals Wyatt Petryschen, and Brody Smith At this point, Campbell River leads the North Division with 50 pts. followed by Comox Valley and Nanaimo with 45.
