January 20, 2014, SASKATOON, SK (ISN) – The Saskatoon Blades and president Steve Hogle are extremely proud to announce a new ‘first’ for fans to experience later this season.
The Blades have announced the first ever Critters Pucks ‘N Paws Night for February 28th when the team plays host to the visiting Kootenay Ice. The night is exactly what you might expect. Fans are being encouraged to bring their dogs and cats to the Credit Union Centre on that night, allowing their pets to check out some great Blades action.
“We are trying to find new, fun ways to stage Saskatoon Blades hockey games,” said Hogle. “We feel that this event is going to be extremely entertaining, matching up a fun experience off the ice with some great action on the ice. Who doesn’t love their dogs and cats? It’s going to be something unique to this market and we already can’t wait for it to arrive.”
Ticket prices for the game have been bumped down to $15 for one person and their pet. $5 from that will go toward local charities for pets. There will also be a number of displays and great activities on the go throughout the game, including local mascots from all over to help celebrate the big night.
Pets and their owners will sit down in the seats, with the spots being considered general admission for the one-game event. Fans are also being asked that their pets shots are up to date before they attend the festivities.
The SPCA will be on hand during the game with a form of pet-police to ensure it’s a safe environment for all the animals. They will also be on hand to help clean up any “emergencies” that might happen throughout the game.
Tickets for the first-ever Critters Pucks ‘N Paws event are on sale now at all Critters locations, the offices of the affiliated charities and at the Saskatoon Blades office.
