January 21, 2014, EDMONTON (ISN) – While there are no changes this week among Canada West schools leading in the polls, some results did have an effect on the voting.

The top-ranked UBC Thunderbirds lost for the first time in women’s volleyball, but remain ahead of #2 Brandon after a head-to-head series split.

In men’s hockey, the Calgary Dinos avoided an upset and remain #1 in men’s hockey, while UBC continues atop the women’s swimming rankings and the Alberta Golden Bears were voted #1 in men’s wrestling.

Trinity Western sits just out of the top spot in men’s volleyball and Victoria jumped to #3 in men’s basketball. Saskatchewan debuts at #2 in women’s track & field.
