January 23, 2014 (ISN) – The BC Lacrosse Association (BCLA) is proud to announce that Dan Stroup is the Team BC Women’s Field Lacrosse Program for 2014. This marks the third season Stroup has coached with the Team BC Women’s Field Lacrosse Program.

As an ex-WLA, NLL and Canadian National Box and Field Lacrosse star, Stroup has made significant strides in utilizing his knowledge, skills and abilities as a player and translating those abilities into becoming a leader in coaching Women’s Field Lacrosse.

Dan has been an integral part of the Team BC Women’s Field Lacrosse Program since 2012. Stroup coached the U19 Women’s Field Team to a national title at the 2013 U19 Women’s Field Lacrosse National Invitational tournament in Oshawa, ON. In November, he was the Head Coach of the Team BC entry at the IWCLA President’s Cup Recruiting Showcase (Orlando, Florida) coaching the team to a 4-0-1 record. In January 2014, Stroup’s squad competed at the Sandstorm Lacrosse Tournament (Indio, California) and finished with a 6-1 record.

Team BC Lacrosse is a high performance lacrosse program for Box and Field Lacrosse athletes within our province. The Team BC Women’s Field Lacrosse Program will include three teams – Team BC Senior (Grades 11 & 12), Team BC Sophomore (Grade 10) and Team BC Freshman (Grades 8 & 9).
