Cats chiseled the Ice

February 2, 2014, Nelson (ISN) – Defenceman Bryan Allbee contributed offensively on Sunday as the Cariboo Cougars earned a weekend split with the Kootenay Ice in Nelson.

Allbee scored twice as the Cougars won 4-2 to improve to 14-16-2 so far in the BC Major Midget League season. Isaiah Berra and Chase Dubois also scored for the Cougars as the closed back within six points of the Greater Vancouver Canadians in the race for fifth place.

Lane Delfs got the win between the pipes for the Cougars.

The loss dropped the Ice to 5-22-5 on the year.

The Cougars are back on home ice next weekend as they host the South Island Royals at CN Centre. Saturday’s game is set for 1 p.m. and Sunday’s rematch is slated for10 a.m.
