February 14, 2014, Vancouver (ISN) – Vancouver Whitecaps FC play their only preseason match in British Columbia on Sunday when they travel to Vancouver Island to face the University of Victoria Vikes. Kickoff is set for 2 p.m. PT at Centennial Stadium.

Following Sunday’s match, the ‘Caps return to Vancouver for a week of training before departing on Friday for the Rose City Invitational tournament in Portland, Oregon. In Portland, the ‘Caps will play their last three preseason matches against Portmore United FC on Sunday, February 23, San Jose Earthquakes on Wednesday, February 26, and Portland Timbers on Saturday, March 1. All matches will be played at Providence Park (formerly JELD-WEN Field).

Intrasquad scrimmage: 12:00 p.m. at UBC’s Thunderbird Stadium, Vancouver BC

Thursday, February 20

Beyond this week:

Whitecaps FC play their last two matches of preseason in the Rose City Invitational tournament. The ‘Caps play fellow MLS club the San Jose Earthquakes on Wednesday, February 26 at 5 p.m. PT. before going against Cascadia rivals Portland Timbers on Saturday, March 1 at 5 p.m. PT. All games will be held at Jeld-Wen Field. One week later, Vancouver host New York Red Bulls in their 2014 MLS season opener at BC Place.
