Cougars Slip by Silvertips

February 15, 2014, Port Alberni (ISN) –  Bryan Allbee’s third period power-play goal lifted the Cariboo Cougars to a 3-2 win over the North Island Silvertips on Saturday in Port Alberni.

Allbee’s goal with less than four minutes to play broke a 2-2 tie and helped the Cougars improve to 16-17-2 on the year. The Silvertips fell to 11-19-5.

Chase Dubois scored twice for the Cougars as the visitors built a 2-0 lead before the Silvertips got back into the game with two quick third period goals.

Steven Jandric also had a two-point game for the Cougars, assisting on both of Dubois’ goals.

The two teams complete the weekend set in Courtenay on Sunday morning.
