Dunford broke his own TWU record, which previously stood at 4.70m. With his vault, Dunford moves into third in the CIS individual rankings and automatically qualifies for the national championships.

On the track, the Spartans Declan White (South Surrey, B.C.) set a TWU record with a converted 1500m time of 3:50.41 after running the mile in 4:08.77. The previous 1500m record was also a converted mile time of 3:53.69, which was posted by Levi Neufeld (Winnipeg) earlier this year.

On the women’s side, three Spartans all posted times under the CIS qualification standard in the 3000m, with Sarah Inglis (Falkirk, Scotland) clocking of a time of 9:31.37 while Alison Jackson (Vermilion, Alta.) finished in 9:34.75 and Regan Yee (South Hazelton, B.C.) crossed the line in 9:38.92.

The Spartans 4x400m team also set a school record with a time of 3:19.93. The previous record was 3:20.89, which was set in Idaho Feb. 8.

Trinity Western will now prepare for the Canada West championships Feb. 21-22 in Edmonton.
