CIS Top 10: As season winds down, Canada West teams continue at No. 1

February 25, 2014, EDMONTON (ISN) – With only one month left in the 2013-14 Canadian Interuniversity Sport season and conference championships in the homestretch, Canada West schools are ranked No. 1 in several sports.

The University of Alberta Golden Bears top the rankings in men’s hockey as they prepare for a semifinal series this weekend, while the Calgary Dinos sit atop the women’s track & field. At the close of swimming season, the UBC Thunderbirds women’s team finished ahead of the pack after dominating the CIS championships.
