February 26, 2014, Prince Albert SK (ISN) – The Raiders will return from their season long 6-game this weekend to host the Kootenay Ice, kicking off the home stretch of the 2013-2014 WHL regular season as the team pushes for a spot in the playoffs.
The Raiders will play five of their final eight games at the Art Hauser; here is what fans can expect for the remainder of the home schedule:
Saturday March 1st vs. Kootenay Ice
Top NHL Draft prospects Leon Draisaitl and Sam Reinhart will go head to head on Conexus Children’s Hospital Foundation Night. Earlier this winter, Raider Governor Gord Broda bought a custom made 1956 Ford truck nicknamed “Snakebit”, with all the proceeds going to the Saskatchewan Children’s Hospital Foundation. Snakebit will make its Canadian debut during the second intermission, where Broda will also present his donation to the Foundation.
Tuesday March 4th vs. Moose Jaw Warriors
The Raiders take on the Warriors live on the WHL on Shaw! To celebrate the final weekday game of the season, the Raiders have launched Ten Buck Tuesday, with adult tickets for just 10 dollars and children’s tickets for just 5 dollars. It is also SIAST night at the Art Hauser Centre; fans can have their own hockey card photos printed and win prizes from SIAST. The final Prairie Mobile Vegas night of the season will take place, with one lucky fan over the age of 21 winning a trip for two to Las Vegas!
Friday March 7th vs. Calgary Hitmen
The Hitmen will roll into town for a Friday night matchup that will surely have playoff seeding implications on the line for both teams. Make sure to watch the next crop of Raiders during the Tim Horton’s Tim Bits IP hockey game during the first intermission.
Saturday March 8th vs. Brandon Wheat Kings
The East Division rivals will face off on Lakeland Ford night, where one lucky contestant from the 2014 Lakeland Ford Shootout will go home with a free one-year lease on a 2014 Ford Explorer 4×4!
Friday March 14th vs. Saskatoon Blades
The year ends with the Raiders’ biggest rivals, the Saskatoon Blades. It is SPCA night, with dogs and cats currently up for auction on display in the lobby. It is also fan appreciation night, with lots of great prizes being given away throughout the game as well as the 2014 team poster to the first 2000 fans through the doors. The Raiders will hand out their yearend awards on the ice prior to and following the game.
