March 2, 2014, Victoria (ISN) – One of the newest members on Canada’s Lawn Bowling Team lives in Oak Bay.

22 year old UVIC student Jaymee Sidel, 2013 Canadian Ladies U25 Singles Gold Medalist and 2013 Forster-Lang Pairs Gold Medalist (partner from Saskatchewan), bowls out of the Oak Bay Lawn Bowling Club in Carnarvon Park.

Jaymee began to lawn bowl at the age of 3 under the guidance of her big sister (who also bowled on a Canadian team).

Jaymee will be representing Canada at the 2014 Tiger Bowls/China Open competitions being held in Kowloon, Hong Kong and Bijishan Park, Shenzhen China in March.

Bowls Canada announced the men’s and ladies’ team last month. (
