March 3, 2014, Sochi (ISN) – With the Sochi 2014 Paralympic Games set to begin in just four days, the Canadian Paralympic Committee would like to celebrate and thank long-time premier partner Pfizer Canada Inc., who have gone above and beyond their sponsorship agreement and made an additional financial contribution to the Canadian Paralympic Team.
Pfizer Canada is the CPC’s longest standing corporate partner, a relationship that dates back to 1996.
“Canada’s Paralympic athletes are such amazing role models to Canadians of all ages and we’re extremely proud of our association with the Canadian Paralympic Team,” said Rhonda O’Gallagher, Executive Director, Corporate Affairs, Pfizer Canada Inc. “Through our long-standing partnership with the CPC, we aim to inspire Canadians to live healthy and balanced lives. We’re pleased to announce this contribution of additional funds to help expand awareness and support the Canadian Paralympic Team.”
The enhanced Pfizer activation for Sochi includes the #PfizerInspire campaign, which gives fans a behind the scenes view of the Paralympic journeys of sledge hockey goalie Benoit St-Amand and para-Nordic skier and biathlete Mark Arendz. “We truly appreciate Pfizer’s long standing commitment to the Canadian Paralympic Team and this additional investment shows how powerful our partnership is,” said François Robert, Executive Director, Partnerships, for the Canadian Paralympic Committee. “Our sincere thanks to Pfizer and to all our corporate, sport and government partners for everyone’s incredible support of Team Canada in Sochi and beyond. Go Canada go!”
