March 11, 2014 (ISN) – This Saturday, the club has a triple header with the women hosting the Mudhens, the Valhallians playing Comox and the Academy taking on Port Alberni. The 3rds have a bye scheduled, but also have a few makeup games to fit in, so stay tuned.

Front Row Mugs
I mentioned last week that some Front Row Club mugs had gone missing. We have some funds to replace a limited number of mugs: check if yours is missing and let me know by the end of the month if you need a replacement. This will be handled on a first-come-first-serve basis.
The Velox AGM will be on Thursday 10th Apr 14 from 8:30-9:30pm at the clubhouse after practice. Anyone wishing to run for an executive council position, please volunteer your name beforehand to the Director of Rugby-Toby Berg. The positions are President, Vice President, Director of Rugby, Director of Junior Rugby, Director of Fields, Director of Clubhouse, Director of social events, Secretary, Treasurer, Sgt-at-Arms. All present members of the council are wishing to stay on, with the Director of clubhouse still presently vacant. Check out this event on the Velox Facebook page.
The Velox annual banquet will be Saturday 3rd May 14 at the clubhouse at 7pm. The ticket sales and cost will be promulgated at the end of March. Dress will be semi-formal. The director of Social events-Sarah Levson is requesting volunteers to assist with the setup, decoration and clean up. Anyone wishing to assist please contact her at firstname.lastname@example.org. St. Patrick’s Day Theme Party
Saturday March 15th there will be a St. Patrick’s Day themed party Velox. The event kicks off at 8pm with food, drinks and pub games (pool, darts, fooseball, shuffle board and more). At 10pm live music starts up featuring cover band Tom Party.
Tickets are $15 at the door or $10 in advance (see the bar or contact Cam Neish or Sarah Levson). All proceeds from ticket sales go towards the Easter Seals 24h Relay to help children with disabilities go to summer camp.
